A practical checklist
- Review field names and areas for real boundary changes before the first operation.
- Use the new work date and crop details on each new activity.
- Read the previous season’s notes for unresolved exceptions, then record current observations separately.
North Bench stays North Bench in the new season. Last year’s harvest notes remain in its history; this year’s first Scouting entry records a newly observed wet patch rather than editing last year’s condition.
What to avoid
Do not rename every field with the new year or replace old notes to make the list look current. That makes a continuous field history harder to follow.
