Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address and assign an account identifier. Password authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication; your password is not stored in our farm database.

We store the farm information you choose to enter: farm names and memberships, field names, areas and notes, and dated activity records including crop names, quantities and notes. These records are linked to your account and farm.

How we use it

We use this information to provide your account, synchronize farm records between devices, authorize access to your farms, and respond to support requests. Records in a shared farm are available to its members according to their role.

We do not show advertising, track you across other companies’ apps, collect GPS location, sell your farm records, or use farm records for advertising.

Optional usage analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how many visitors use our website and how people use My Farm Assistant on web, iOS and Android. We measure page and screen views, sessions, app use, and clicks from the website to app access options.

Analytics may process a browser or app installation identifier, device and browser details, language, app version, timestamps, and approximate location derived from an IP address. We do not send account identifiers, names, email addresses, passwords, farm or field names, record content, or search text to Analytics. Private record identifiers and URL query strings are removed from page measurements. Advertising identifiers, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled in our integration.

Analytics is off until you allow it. Choose “No thanks” to keep using the website or app without optional analytics. Change your choice using “Analytics settings” on the website and web app, or the analytics controls in mobile Settings. Your choice is saved on that browser or device. Turning analytics off stops future collection and clears the integration’s local analytics identifiers; it does not erase reports already collected. Older mobile versions without the analytics integration do not collect these usage events.

Analytics counts represent consenting browsers and app installations, not an exact count of individual people across devices. Google processes Analytics data under its own service terms; see Google’s privacy policy.

Service providers and technical data

We use Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and backend processing. Firebase processes account identifiers and technical information such as IP addresses, app installation identifiers, app and SDK information, and request metadata to operate its services. Processing may occur outside your country. Service providers may retain operational logs or backups under their retention policies.

Information on your device

The mobile app downloads all authorized farm records and stores them locally for offline work, including pending changes and unfinished drafts. Initial downloads need a connection. The web app fetches records only as needed and keeps them in memory, without an offline farm cache or queued writes. Authentication, language, analytics choice, selected farm and preferred area units may be stored on your browser or device. Drafts are removed when saved or discarded. The app removes account preferences and drafts during in-app account deletion. Uninstalling the app removes its local app storage; it does not delete your cloud account.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and farm records while your account is in use unless you delete them. You can edit records, delete individual activities, and archive fields while keeping their history.

Account deletion removes your profile and individually owned farms, including their fields and activities. For a shared farm, we remove your membership and replace your activity author identifier; shared records remain available to other members. Contact support if you own a shared farm and need help resolving ownership before deletion.

You can delete your account in Settings or follow our account deletion instructions without using the app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an emailed request.
