A practical checklist

  1. Think through the fields visited in order and check that each completed job has an entry.
  2. Check dates, quantity units, and whether an unfinished section is described.
  3. Resolve a clear mistake now; leave an explicit uncertainty note where memory is incomplete.
Illustrative recordA worked example

A crew visited South Flat, Creek Field, then South Flat again. The review finds only two entries. Add the second South Flat harvest pass separately with its own quantity and a note identifying the later load.

What to avoid

A tidy journal can still be incomplete. Counting entries alone will not reveal a missing return visit or a job completed by another person.
