A practical checklist

  1. Attach the image to an Inspection entry with the visit date.
  2. Name the component and the visible feature you want to preserve.
  3. Separate the photographed finding from follow-up work that has not happened yet.

What to avoid

A photo cannot establish the condition of hidden parts. Avoid language such as “all equipment checked” when only the pictured component was inspected.
