A practical checklist

  1. Choose whether entries represent passes, loads, or daily jobs for each workflow.
  2. Agree on field names and recognizable equipment identifiers.
  3. Write exceptions in notes whenever a job differs from the normal convention.
Illustrative recordA worked example

The crew records harvest by weighed load: one entry per slip, correct field, net weight and unit, slip number in notes. An unweighed partial load is explicitly labeled as an estimate rather than silently following the measured-load pattern.

What to avoid

Do not mix load-level quantities with daily totals in the same history without labeling the scope. A later review could otherwise double-count work.
