A practical checklist

  1. Confirm which field supplied the load and whether it contains mixed origins.
  2. Enter the measured quantity with its unit and actual harvest date.
  3. Put the load or slip reference in notes so the original weight can be checked.
Illustrative recordA worked example

Harvesting · North 60 · September 20 · 11.8 t. Notes: “Load 7, scale slip 307, all from North 60.” The next load gets its own reference; a daily note does not repeat both weights as new harvests.

What to avoid

A truck departure time is not necessarily the harvest date. Preserve the actual work date and explain later weighing or delivery when it matters.
