A practical checklist
- Choose Inspection and state the checked components in notes.
- Record observed findings and distinguish unchecked areas.
- Add a separate dated Repair or Service entry when follow-up work actually happens.
Inspection · September 7. “Checked visible hoses on loader; wear noted on left hose cover. No replacement completed. Other hydraulic components not inspected.” A September 9 Repair entry documents the later replacement.
What to avoid
A short journal inspection is not a certified safety assessment. Keep any formal inspection records and required checks in the appropriate process.
